Imogen Kerr is a mixed-media artist. Her work focuses on the human body internally and externally. Layered latex sheets containing veins extracted from the breast, brain, and eyes make up, "Skin-a Series." The idea of "skin" refers to what makes a person unique to themselves. Being a neglected organ, we wonder why it is so crucial to our uniqueness and why we can pierce, tattoo, or scar it. Upon closer inspection, though, we are all composed of the same veins and cells. It creates the illusion that you are looking at a huge petri dish by allowing light to shine through the latex sheet via a circular frame.
